PARKS

There are many parks in kingdom where you can enjoy the time with family. In many local parks you can enjoy the open fire, BBQ.

 King Abdullah Park

 The park is located in Malaz. 5 entrance gates to enter in the park. A huge area covered with grass, A dancing fountain equipped with laser technology, amphitheaters, an open area for conducting shows and events, children can also enjoy cycling and skating there, and a Saudi flag post 37 meters high. No open fire is allowed. Dancing fountain starts after Maghrib. on weekend fountain play after Asar prayers and before Maghrib n Esha prayers. Park is open 5 days( Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday) for families and 2 days for bachelors(Monday and Wednesday). Now has the entry tickets for the adults n children and have inside canteen or food stalls (some of them still under construction).  You can also find a toy shop inside the park. Now no street venders are allowed inside or outside the park so now you can't buy rugs chairs etc from outside the park. Some rules you have to follow for the enterance in the park.

Tickets for adult    -  10sr

Ticket for children(10 years old or above)    -  5sr

Handicap persons are free to enter.

1:00pm to 11:00pm ( Winter)

3:00pm to 12:00am (Summer)

                                            Salam Park 

 If you are bored of Riyadh's dryness its time to visit Salam park. Sit near the lake take deep breath and enjoy watching the small fishes in the lake. There are also boats for children and bachelors( women are not allowed if they covered their faces). A big boat is for family you can ride it with your family it will take you near the fountain. Nice greenry, long tracks, children swings, Big water balls for children, small amusement park, food cabins, mosque are the basic attractions. No open fire is allowed.

Entry Ticket is 5sr for adults.. 

Parking and traffic jam are the only barriers to go there.

Dirriya Park

 

The park is located in Dirriya, Riyadh. Nice place to spend your time with family. It is the local park beside the ruins of Dirriya. Greenry, Swings, Old houses but now NO open fire is allowed in the park so you can not enjoy BBQ there naymore. Bring your own cooked food or gas stoves. No bathrooms, No canteen, Mosque is front of the park. A new market is opening soon in front of the park where you could find the food items and enjoy the shopping with basement car parking.

The Nations Park 

 The Nations Park (حديقة الوطن ) or Water tower Park, Alwadi Park, Al Soor Park, and Al yamama Park are the part of King Abdulaziz historical centre situated in Batha. The KAHC is surrounded by these parks increasing the beauty of the place. Parks are very green, lovely paths, lights, canteen, washroom, resting areas, are the features. The Nations park have the Water Tower that was the storage water place in old days but now its just the tower. You can enjoy the water streams around the tower specially the kids love to play in water as it is safe. The entry ticket either you go to KAHC or parks is 5sr. If you want to visit the top of the water tower you need to buy a ticket as well from the gate. The price of the ticket is 10sr. There is a lift in the tower which will take you up to 16th floor which is the top of the tower. A nice calm place you enjoy the beauty of city from top. You can view the city but as its just 16th story high it can't be say a very top view but still its nice to spend time there. Sitting arrangement is available so that you can enjoy a good time by sitting and watching the view. There is also a small amusement park, kids can enjoy the rides. If you avoid the thick crowded place go there in week days you will love the calmness.

Olaya Park  

 Olaya Park is situated at the Olaya district Riyadh. Very beautiful greenery,  Thick n tall trees, covered resting areas, washrooms, children play space, interesting and smart swings for kids, a small football play ground for boys, proper lighting for night and a beautiful fountain at the center of the park with seat arrangement to enjoy the view of fountain. Mosque is not in the boundary wall of the Park but in front of park you can easily perform your prayers. Security guards are present for your safety. A beautiful view of faisalya Tower feel you good. Simply you can spend a quality time with your family and friends and can enjoy your evenings or late night stay in Park.

Rawdah Park

 

The big amusement park located at Ibn e shaheen street, al Rawdah District, Riyadh. Beautiful park with a restaurants which serve national and international cuisine, an air-conditioned dining hall, oriental pastries shop, soft drinks and fresh juice café; a supermarket, ice cream parlor, and a popcorn counter utilities. The park is also equipped with an in-door theater. The modern theatre  used for variety of activities including indoor games, conferences small size seminars and educational lectures. Parking are for 500 cars opened at 4:00pm till midnight 12:00am

Al Nahda Park 

 

It is long way park parallel to exit 13, 14, and 15 road. Nice green area with swings for kids, coffee shops and cafes . Specially design for sport enthusiasts. There are grounds allotted for tennis, volleyball and basketball. Separate zones are specified for jogging, walking, skiing, bicycle sports, kids games and special games for the handicapped. As it is along with road, traffic view keeps it differentiated from other parks.
